Biographical

Admitted to the California Bar in 1978, Mark S. Ashworth is a seasoned legal professional who has made a lasting impact in jury trials, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

A founding member of Smith & Ashworth, he later established Ashworth, Hayes & Moran, LLP, and in 2006, renamed the firm Ashworth & Ashworth, LLP, when his daughter, Carissa Ashworth-Johnson, joined as a partner.

With over forty years of experience, Mr. Ashworth has litigated, mediated, or arbitrated more than 3,000 cases, including over 95 jury trials across California.

His ADR and mediation experience started as an ADR panelist for the California Superior Court in the mid-1980s. That evolved into his private mediation and arbitration practice of Ashworth ADR Solutions since 1995. He mediates and arbitrates a wide range of cases, but he focuses primarily on cases involving Lemon Law actions, medical malpractice actions, and residential real estate disputes.
